Welcome new band director, Mrs. Erin Wambles!!!!!!

Congratulations to Mr. Williams in his new position as assistant band director at Clay-Chalkville High School!

And introducing:   Mrs. Erin Wambles as the new assistant director at Clay-Chalkville Middle School!!!!!

Mrs. Wambles is a flute and oboe specialist and has taught very successfully at Zion Chapel High School for several years.

She has already been working this summer at the band room getting things organized from the move and getting the room ready to be opened up for school!

We are so very lucky to have this wonderful teacher on board to work with all of our fantastic band students!!!!!

Work day this Saturday!! Please join us for a little while!!

Concession stand clean up day is this Saturday!!  Parents of band students will meet at the concession stand at the football stadium at 8:00 AM to give it a good cleaning before we start the season. We expect to be finished about noon. If you cannot stay the entire time, we would love to have any help you can provide. There are many different jobs to do so I am sure there is one that is just right for you.  I know there is one waiting for me!!!!

This stand is our main source of income and we need all the help we can get!  This is how we fund having private instructors come and give one-on-one and small group instruction during the day so we don't keep students after school.


Please help!!!!!!!!

Band Booster meeting tonight

The first band booster meeting of the year is tonight, Monday, July 12, beginning at 6:00 PM.  The meeting will be held in the high school band room.

The band boosters work to support our band programs and we need all of you to help make it happen! This is support we need very much!

Please be there tonight at 6:00!

Advanced Band - what a GREAT year !!!!  Super job this week !

Don't forget Friday morning, May 21 - come to school in tuxes and dresses and get on the bus - we want to leave at 7:45 AM to perform for Clay Elementary.

Please remember Wednesday, May 26 - come to school in tuxes and dresses and get on the bus - we perform for Chalkville Elementary.

HELP NEEDED!

I will be setting up at Northpark Baptist Church again tonight in order to prepare for the Advanced Band's performance.

I will be setting up tonight, Thursday, May 20 at 8:15 PM or as soon as Northpark's graduation is over. 

The performance is Friday, I will be setting up Thursday night.

Ribbon Cutting

You are invited to attend the ribbon cutting for the new band room with the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Hammond.
 
The ceremony will be Tuesday, May 18 at 10:00 AM outside the new band room.

Many thanks to the parents for tirelessly working to give your children the best trip possible. You did so very, very well. Thank you for smiling through the exhaustion.

Open house for the new Band Room - May Band Booster Meeting !

 
Every band parent is invited to the NEW middle school band room for the May Band Booster meeting.  This is a wonderful opportunity to see first-hand the fantastic new band room and meet or reconnect with the wonderful Band Boosters who support us so very much during the year!  Please spread the word and invite others to attend the meeting.  It will be the last meeting of the school year and the Boosters will not meet again until July.  You can expect to receive information concerning year-end concerts for all bands and for those students participating in Marching Band next year, the summer schedule will be presented.
 
The Band Boosters have graciously funded the last two months of private instructors for the middle school band students. Thank you!  We need to find out how we can get involved and help!!  Many hands make the work lighter!!!  Our band is large and we cannot function without the help of the Band Booster Parents and the Band Boosters cannot function without every parent!  Please help!!
